The temperature is just right, not too warm, not too cool.
You take the day off and shoot up to your favorite stream.
The one every other angler ignores, because it doesn't look productive.
But you know better, so you begin your slow walk through the field of tall grass.
The birds follow, feeding on the grasshoppers scared up.
The experience makes you feel important.
You're no longer just a leaf on a tree... you're the tree itself.
The path takes you to your favorite hole... and then what you longed for.
The strike.
The reel sings... the trout rises displaying it's golden stomach that tells you…
